About the Development

Welcome to the Hampton, GA Campus

The Hampton Campus includes 4 high-performing data centers, located on Site Parkway to help support the growing demand for digital services relied upon by businesses and communities every day. A second site in Hampton, which includes 2 colocation data centers, is also planned for future development on McDonough Street and Highway 20.

The project represents a significant investment in the region, bringing new infrastructure, local economic benefits, and long-term opportunities to Hampton and surrounding communities while strengthening Georgia’s role as a leading hub for digital innovation and connectivity.

Jordan Singleton

“For more than 20 years, Equinix has been part of communities across Georgia, and we’re excited to continue that work in Hampton. From the beginning, our focus has been on being a good neighbor: paying our fair share, protecting affordability of utilities for local ratepayers, responsibly managing natural resources, investing in public infrastructure and creating quality careers. Just as important, we’re committed to listening. We’ll continue engaging with residents, local leaders and community organizations throughout the process so we can understand concerns, gather feedback and build a facility that serves Hampton and Georgia well for decades to come.”

Equinix Foundation’s vision is a more accessible, sustainable and interconnected digital future for everyone, everywhere. We are advancing digital inclusion in communities where we work through connectivity, digital literacy, skill training, and career development.

Our Pathways to Tech program is an early-career talent program that provides students ages 14-18 with hands-on experience with digital infrastructure through interactive sessions with professionals, data center tours and immersive education events designed to connect young people to opportunities they might never have known existed. In Atlanta, the Equinix Foundation has partnered with Future Successors Boardroom Bound Program, an immersive experience that provides students with exposure to corporate careers and leadership opportunities.

Students can explore career pathways in the data center and technology industries, including creating a one-line diagram to map how power is distributed throughout a data center and working directly with network cabling. They also tour data center operations and participate in career discussions that help strengthen their communication and presentation skills while offering a firsthand look at the technology that powers the digital world.

The Equinix Foundation also made a multi-year grant commitment with Per Scholas, a national workforce accelerator leading in no-cost technology training, to launch and expand training for high-demand Critical Facilities and data center careers. The investment will support the expansion of Per Scholas’ new Critical Facilities Training Program, currently running in Atlanta.
