ASHBURN, VA, June 11, 2026Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX), the world’s digital infrastructure company®, hosted 20 Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) students from the new Accelerated College and Employability Skills (ACCESS) Academy inaugural class for an immersive tour of its Ashburn Data Center and Campus. Welcoming students from ACCESS Academy underscores a pivotal milestone in a partnership between the Equinix Foundation, the LCPS Division of Career, Technical and Adult Education, and the Loudoun Education Foundation (LEF) to expand access to high-quality career pathways. The site visit is part of Equinix’s Pathways to Tech, an early-career talent program that provides students ages 14-18 with hands-on experience with digital infrastructure through interactive sessions with professionals, data center tours and immersive education events.

A direct demonstration of Equinix’s newly published U.S. Community Principles in action, the visit reflects the company’s core commitment to prioritizing long-term local engagement and workforce development, and the Equinix Foundation’s strategic focus on digital inclusion. By deepening its investment in LCPS through programs such as ACCESS Academy and Pathways to Tech, as well as Foundation grant funding, Equinix reinforces its dedication to being an active, supportive neighbor in the communities where it operates. Equinix has been a partner to LCPS and LEF since 2023, providing Foundation grants to multiple programs, Equinix employee volunteering and strategic support.

“We are proud to mark the first school year for ACCESS Academy with this real-world experience,” said Equinix Head of State and Local Public Policy & Government Affairs Rey Cheatham Banks. “Investing in local students – and the schools that nurture them – is a direct investment in the long-term vitality of Loudoun County and the future of our industry. We want to show these students that they have a vital place in the digital economy.”

This collaboration also supports the division’s Summer in the Trades program and supports the development of programs such as a Data Center Technician pathway, both designed to foster local talent in computer science, data center operations and artificial intelligence.

“The support from partners like Equinix is transformative for our students,” said Danielle Nadler, executive director of the Loudoun Education Foundation. “By aligning corporate resources with the specific needs of the ACCESS Academy and other workforce initiatives across the district, we provide experiences that are not only educational but also truly life-changing. Seeing the technology in action helps them envision themselves as the next generation of engineers and technicians.”

As Equinix scales its Pathways to Tech program globally, it remains dedicated to nurturing talent in Loudoun County, demystifying complex technical careers and ensuring that the growth of the digital infrastructure sector continues to create meaningful opportunities for local students.
